Februárban járunk, méghozzá február 17. napján. Ekkor osztották ki a NAACP Image Awards díjait 43. alkalommal. A díjátadónak van hosszabb neve is, mely a következő: National Association for the Advancement of Colored People – maradjunk a rövidebbnél. Bizony, jól kapizsgáljátok: az amerikai színesbőrű színészeknek és színésznőknek a munkáját jutalmazzák, azaz a szakmabeli legjobbakat. Csak hát a fehérek ebből a részlegből kimaradnak.

Archívumi kalauz: a 2011-es jelöltek és győztesek, a 2009-es jelöltek és győztesek. Vannak egyértelmű befutók, mint pl.: a Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, ami évről évre begyűjti a legjobb komédiának járó elismerést. Nincs vetélytársa. A BET csatornán fut, így esélye sincs másnak. Ne is csodálkozzunk, hogy legjobb színésznőnek Keshia Knight Pulliam-et választották, a sorozat egyik főszereplőjét. A színész kategóriában viszont nem nyert díjat. WTF – gondolhatnánk, azonban a csavar az egészben annyi, hogy nem is kapott ott jelölést, így egy másik sorozat gyűjtötte be ezt. Hogy mi, az a tovább mögött, ahogy a teljes 2012-es jelölt és győztes lista is. (Bocsi, nem volt kedvem lemagyarosítani. Szerintem érthető.)
